A new cyclic model for <scp>FRP</scp> ‐confined rubberized concrete

This article proposes a new constitutive model for the cyclic behavior of rubberized concrete confined with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets. The is calibrated experimental results from 18 (CRuC) cylinders tested in compression. had 60% total aggregate volume replacement recycled tyre rubber. Parameters investigated include type confining material (Carbon or Aramid FRP) and number layers (two, three, four). indicate that using FRP confinement leads to strong (up 100 MPa) highly deformable (axial strains up 7%) can be used structural applications. proposed predicts accurately response under loading thus design/analysis components made CRuC. contributes toward development advanced models CRuC, promoting wider use materials construction industry.
